Marzi Pan Cakery & Deli at 2034 Lanier Drive will be doing a trial run starting at sunrise tomorrow (Monday, April 5) with free doughnuts for anyone coming in.
Rob Youngblood, co-owner of the new bake shop/diner along with his brother, Brian Youngblood, told Old Corporal today that the new business will open for free doughnuts only, tomorrow as soon as it’s daylight. Then later this week (day to be announced) the cakery will open full-time for business, with hours of 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. — or later, if they’re unusually busy.
As the story on the Youngblood brothers related earlier, this is Rob Youngblood’s boyhood dream come true. He and Brian plan to offer a wide variety of baked goods, from doughnuts, to decorated cakes, to pies, to cookies … and the list goes on. Light meals also will be offered when the business opens full-time later this week.
Speaking of their decision to open for free samples tomorrow, Rob said, “Let’s roll!”
